Product Description
Whether flying on an airplane or traveling by train or bus, it is safest and most comfortable for your child to be in a car seat. But traveling with a young child, their seat, and your carry-on can be tricky. Not anymore. The Traveling Toddler strap allows you to attach your LATCH and top tether equipped toddler's car seat to a rolling carry-on suitcase. Simply attach the LATCH and top tether straps from the car seat to the Traveling Toddler and adjust the straps so that the car seat is held securely on the suitcase. Once adjusted, the car seat can be detached and reattached to the suitcase in seconds. Lift the handle of your carry-on bag and you have a fun new stroller. Now there's an easy and inexpensive way to take your toddler's car seat and other gear on your trip. You do not have to buy a special seat or suitcase. As long as your suitcase handle locks in place, you can push it like a stroller. Your hands are free for check in and its simple to unhook for security. Keep your child safe and comfortable in their own seat instead of squirming around in a seat made for an adult, or worse, squirming around on your lap. The Traveling Toddler has been tested with most major car seat brands including Graco, Eddie Bauer, Cosco, Evenflo, and Britax, and a variety of carry-on suitcases and has worked with every combination. It is important that the telescoping handle of your suitcase locks in place. If not, it might not stay extended when you try to push your child in front of you, though you would still be able to pull them. If flying, make sure that your car seat is FAA approved before traveling. The Traveling Toddler strap is made from heavyweight polypropylene webbing that will withstand 900 lbs of force. When not in use it easily slips in the pocket of your carry-on. As with any other wheeled child carrier, do not use the Traveling Toddler on stairs or escalators. Car seat and suitcase sold separately.Patent pending.

3 out of 5 stars Ummm...it's okay.   January 6, 2009
This would be great if it were easier to attach/detach from your luggage. It really sucked going through security. You have to take it off, put it back on. Then it won't fit down the aisle of the plane So then you have to take it off again. It was kind of a pain in the ....! You definitely need a carry on with a locking handle. In my personal opinion It's too over priced for what you get out of it! Notice in the picture the guy isn't smiling. That'll be you!

4 out of 5 stars Mom of twins - LOVE IT   December 30, 2008
No way was I going to pay $70 or more for the traveling car seats. Not when I would have to buy 2. Love this. Easy to use. Convenient and inexpensive. Couple of hints:
1.Pack your carry-ons very full. It doesn't adjust (but would be PERFECT and 5 stars if it did) as it depends on your car seat straps for adjustments. You may need to overstuff your carry ons to get it to fit snug. Favorite pillows, blankies, lovies work well.
2. Make sure it is very tight. If it sags, it can drag the carseat on the floor, sidewalk, street.
3. Adjust it before you leave. It does take some time so don't wait till you are standing at the airport.
4. Adjust it with your kid in it. Pull/push them around the house to make sure it is good to go.
5. Practice unhooking and rehooking with out having to loosen it. You will have to detach the car seat from your carryon in security. The first time I was sweating by the time I was through and had both boys re-attached. After using it 4 or 5 times, I am good and quick. Less sweat.
6. Take a little bag for them. After you unhook them and get on the plain or in the car. Stick them in a bag or a pocket so you don't lose it. (Take it from me)
7. Prepare to work your arms. It does take some effort and muscles you don't normally use.
8. Don't expect miracles. It is not has simple or effortless as those expensive seats. But worth the savings and completely gets the job done. Especially since your kids grow so fast and won't use them for long.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product!   December 22, 2008
I used this for a trip cross country and it worked great! It is a little bit of a hassle attaching the car seat and detaching it numerous times...but way easier than trying to carry a car seat and a baby! I definitely recommend it. A little pricey for what it actually is...but totally worth it. My son is 18 months and 27 lbs- no issue pushing him around...he loved it and wanted to sit in his seat and be pushed! When getting on flights, most flight attendants didn't realize that it wasn't an actual stroller!

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful   December 16, 2008
This product worked very well for our trip. It was very easy to hook or unhook the car seat from my travel bag. A great option than rather buying the more pricey travel car seats. I will definitely be using this product again.

5 out of 5 stars Easy travel with toddler   December 14, 2008
I am 5 months pregnant, so the less stuff I travel with, the better. Before I found this product, I was a little stressed out about traveling alone with my toddler from Florida to California. My toddler is 17 months old and weighs 24 lbs. She has a Britax Marathon car seat, so it's not small at all. The carry-on I attached her car seat to was small (16 inch long). I loaded it up with entertainment for my toddler, so it was nice and full. It worked great! Going through security was easy. While in-line, I took my toddler out of her car seat and had her hold on to me while I released the straps from the suitcase. Make sure you don't release the top strap. That way, it's always attached to your car seat and reattaching your car seat will be a faster process after going through security. When you attach the straps, it fits a little snug, so you might need some upper arm strength. However, I have no upper strength and I was able to do it. This product works great! The tough part was carrying the car seat down the Southwest Airlines airplane aisle. (If you're on an International flight, your carrier will most likely have wide aisles and you'll be able to walk right up to your seat with your toddler still attached to your suitcase.) As soon as I walked into the plane, I left my carry-on with a flight attendant. Once I found a seat, she brought it to me. If you need help with your car seat as well, they'll help you with it too.
After reading reviews for similar traveling products, I decided that this was the best one. At first, I was going to purchase the Go Go Kidz Travelmate, but then I read that it didn't fit through some airport security machines and at this point you had to detach the wheels which involved unscrewing some screws (a bit time consuming). When traveling in airports, you need a simple, easy and fast product to use. This is the product for you.
